Most times we can replace your watch battery while you wait in store. However, during busy periods in the shop, we may advise you leave the watch with us for a short period and come back later that day.
How much does it cost to replace a watch battery?
Our prices start from £4.49, depending on the battery. This price includes fitting the battery for you.
How can I tell if my watch battery needs replacing?
Here are some signs that your watches needs a new battery:
- The second-hand is moving slower than it should, such as in two-second intervals, or freezing
- You keep having to correct the time on your watch - the timekeeping is fast or slow
- The watch’s backlight is dimmer than usual or flickering
Can you change the battery in a water resistant watch?
To ensure that your watch stays properly water resistant, we generally recommend taking your watch back to a jewellers.

Can you change the battery in a smartwatch?
Whilst it is possible to change the battery in a smartwatch, these watches are far more complex than an analogue one. We recommend taking your watch back to the manufacturer or to a jeweller who is experienced in dealing with watches of the same brand.

If your watch has a fresh battery but you’re still needing to correct the time regularly, there may be an issue with the mechanics of your watch.
