Is it possible to preorder a tree?
Yes, we'd be happy to help you with pre-ordering a tree! Give us a call or pop into store and we can arrange this for you.
Can I see how the tree looks before buying?
Of course! We understand that you will want to see how the tree stands before buying so you can be sure it'll look perfect in your home. We’re happy to open the tree in front of you and re-net it for you.
Do you sell stands for Christmas trees?
Yes! Join us in store see our selection and one of our colleagues will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have about finding the right base for your Christmas tree.
Will you net the tree for me?
Yes! We’ll even help you carry it to your car!
Can you help me with getting the tree to my car?
Absolutely! We have plenty of free parking, including disabled spaces, right outside our store so just ask one of our colleagues to help you with carrying the tree to your vehicle.
What type of Christmas tree do you sell?
We stock Nordmann fir trees of the highest, premium grade. Nordmann fir are known for being a 'non-drop' variety of tree, so you won’t have to worry about fallen needles making a mess.
Where are the trees grown?
Our trees are grown locally in Leicestershire, in the East Midlands, meaning their carbon footprint is much lower than trees imported from abroad and you can feel good about supporting another UK business.
Are your trees cut or pot grown?
Our trees are grown in the ground and only cut once they reach maturity.
How long will a real Christmas tree last?
When taken proper care of, you’ll easily be able to enjoy your Nordmann Fir Christmas tree for around three weeks.
Here are some tips to get the best out of your real Christmas tree:
- Position your tree away from heaters, radiators or open fires as this will dry the tree out and cause it to lose its needles
- Use a stand which can hold water so that the tree can stay hydrated and retain its needles
- Remember to top up the tree stand before the waterline drops below the base of the trunk so that your tree can continue to quench its thirst throughout the festive period

How do I dispose of a real Christmas tree?
Most councils have a collection service, check your local council website for more information. Nottingham Hospitals Charity also offers a Christmas tree recycling scheme, so you can have your tree collected and support Nottingham hospitals while you’re at it!
