What kinds of keys do you cut?

We can help you with household keys, chubb keys, window lock keys, safe keys, patio door keys, filing cabinet keys, office keys, cash box keys. If you’re not sure what type of key you have, the best way to find out if we can help is to give us a call or visit us in store.

How much does it cost to have a key cut?

The price depends on the key, so for an exact quote please visit us in store and one of our colleagues will assist you.

As a guide:

  • Cylinder keys (e.g. Yale) from £4.50
  • Mortice keys from £4.50
  • Chubb mortice keys from £7.99

How long does it take to cut a key?

Most times we can cut a key right away while you wait in store. However, during busy periods in the shop, or if there is a large quantity of keys to be cut, we may advise you leave the key with us for a short period and come back later that day, or whenever works for you!

Can you only cut a key from the original?

We can copy from any working key. However, to maximise the new key’s accuracy, we do recommend bringing in the original key if you can.

Do I need to bring ID to get a key cut?

For general keys no proof of identity is required. Proof of identity is only needed for security lock keys, however, we do not cut these.

Do you sell locks?

Yes! Our range of locks are in store only so please pop in to see how we can best help you.

What do I do if I have an issue with a new key?

Your satisfaction is our priority, so if you have any issues please pop back into the store with your receipt where one of our colleagues will happily cut you a replacement or check for any potential other issues that may be contributing to the error.

Do you cut car keys?

Unfortunately, car keys are very complex these days so we recommend visiting your car dealership for help with new car keys.

Do you change car key batteries?

We sell the batteries for car keys, however, if you’re unable to open the key yourself we recommend taking it to your car dealership for help with fitting a new battery.
